Edward Zajkowski, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.P., fondly referred to as “Doctor Ed,” is a founding partner of Teaneck Pediatrics. He graduated SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, and earned a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Columbia University in New York City. He did his pediatric residency at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center, where he served an additional year in the capacity of Chief Resident, being responsible for supervising and training pediatric residents. He continued at Montefiore as Attending in the Department of Pediatrics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine until 1988, when he and Dr. Schuss opened their practice in Teaneck. Doctor Ed has consistently been awarded Top Doctor status in the New York Metro area, recognized by the Patients Choice organization, and acknowledged with the Compassionate Doctor award numerous times.
Doctor Zajkowski enjoys singing and was a member of the Pro Arte Chorale, is conversant in the history of the Civil War period and World War II, is a serious model train enthusiast, and an avid fan of Michigan sports teams, especially football (Go Blue!). Doctor Zajkowski and his wife Ruth live in Harrington Park. Their son leads the Mac platform engineering team at the University of Michigan.
